About this position

TeacherPreps is hiring a U.S. teacher who has passed their Special Education certification exam.

This role has two main functions:

  1. Review our practice test questions to ensure accuracy and quality.
  2. Create faceless screen-recorded exam preparation videos that are informational and fun to watch!

Responsibilities

  • Review assigned Special Education practice test questions for accuracy, quality, clarity, and exam fit.
  • Revise question stems, answer choices, and explanations when they need to be clearer, more accurate, or more exam-like.
  • Record screen-only video lessons from provided TeacherPreps materials when video assignments are available.
  • Explain exam content in a clear, useful, engaging way for future educators preparing for Special Education exams.
  • Upload raw recordings to the assigned folder. TeacherPreps handles editing, cleanup, publishing, and final production.

This is the review side of the role: checking question quality, accuracy, clarity, and exam fit.

Screen-recorded video lesson

This is the instructional side of the role: teaching from provided materials in a clear, helpful walkthrough.

Requirements

  • You passed a U.S. certification or licensing exam relevant to Special Education.
  • You have a computer.
  • You have an external microphone, such as a USB desktop mic, headset mic, or clip-on/lavalier mic.
  • Built-in computer microphones are not accepted because the audio quality is not high enough for TeacherPreps videos.
  • A tablet device and digital pencil are optional for this role, but they are desired for more video work, so please indicate if you have them when completing the application form below.
  • You have reliable high-speed internet for recording and uploading video files.
  • You are genuinely interested in helping future educators pass their exams.

Compensation & Timeline

Practice question review

$1.00 per accepted question

  • 250-300 questions per assignment, with the possibility of more.
  • Usually completed within two weeks of the start date.

Screen-recorded video lessons

$2.50 per accepted finished video minute

  • For example, a 10-minute finished video pays $25.
  • Assigned separately when matching materials are ready.
  • Assignment scope, compensation, and timing are confirmed in writing before work begins.
