GACE Educational Leadership: Tier II: Written Assessment Format

How the GACE 347 written assessment works

GACE Educational Leadership: Tier II is a written assessment: 6 constructed-response assignments. There are no multiple-choice questions, so this page has no multiple-choice diagnostic.

The published testing time is 210 minutes (3 hours 30 minutes). Practice drafting within that limit, including time to plan and to reread your response.

A strong written response answers each part of the prompt, uses the information provided, states a clear course of action and explains why that action fits the situation. Build that habit by reading a scenario, listing the decisions it requires and outlining your response before writing it.

The TeacherPreps study guide teaches the leadership content that these written tasks draw on. Use the lessons to review the concepts, then rehearse applying them in writing under timed conditions.
